The process for creating stone paper was first developed by Taiwan Lung Meng Tech Company in 1990. In early 2014, Made of Stone was founded to offer alternatives to the process of making paper and plastic products; that would be eco friendly and help to save our environment. This was started due to a response to an announcement of banning plastic bags in many countries including the United States.
